Who we are & what we do

The Town Council comprises twelve elected Councillors who serve for a four year term. All Councillors are unpaid.

Council Meetings are normally held on the 3rd Thursday of each month (except August) see the diary of meetings for more information.

Office Opening Times, Desborough Town Council is always happy and willing to meet with members of the public. Until the new Town Clerk starts, all meetings are by appointment due to the availability of individual Councillors.

An appointment will be arranged at a mutually convenient date and time.

Our committees have specific tasks and can have delegated powers.

    The rules by which the Council operates and conducts its business. The document contains statutory paragraphs which all local Councils must have, and locally devised rules.

Our Staff

We have appointed a part-time Town Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer (known as the Town Clerk). He will take up the position at the end of August. In the meantime, please contact the Council by email, or by telephone and leave a message with your contact details.
