Precept to fall by over 373% in 2019

At the January 2019 Council meeting, Desborough Town Council fixed its budget for the coming year (April 2029 to March 2020). The Council set a two-part budget identifying routine items necessary to run the Council's ordinary business, and items which are added extras.

Changes to bin collections over the festive period

Kettering Borough Council has announced that all grey bin collections will be suspended from Christmas Eve and will recommence from Monday 7th January 2019.

Black bins that are due to be collected on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day, will be collected on other days. The day will be notified on a tag attached to the bin.

Elections to be postponed until 2020

A 1,500 year old gold necklace, and a mysterious mirror are on display in Northamptonshire for the first time in nearly 100 years. On loan from the British Museum, these world-class objects, which were found in Desborough, will be on display alongside other local treasures from the area.
