Changes to bin collections over the festive period

Kettering Borough Council has announced that all grey bin collections will be suspended from Christmas Eve and will recommence from Monday 7th January 2019.

Black bins that are due to be collected on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day, will be collected on other days. The day will be notified on a tag attached to the bin.

Kettering Borough Council will also be collecting grown Christmas trees from Monday 7 January 2019 for two weeks. Residents are being asked to place the Christmas tree next to the blue or grey bin on recycling collection day and the crews will take it away to be composted. Any tree over 5ft tall should be cut first.

Additional recycling over the Christmas period that won't fit in the recycling bin, should be either put in CLEAR plastic bags or in a cardboard box, and placed next to the blue bin on the usual collection day. All cardboard should be flattened and stacked neatly next to the blue bin.
