The Desborough Mirror comes home(ish)

A 1,500 year old gold necklace, and a mysterious mirror are on display in Northamptonshire for the first time in nearly 100 years. On loan from the British Museum, these world-class objects, which were found in Desborough, will be on display alongside other local treasures from the area.

See these amazing objects at Kettering's Manor House Museum until Saturday 12 January 2019.

Burglary from Desborough Shop

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary that took place at the Pizza takeaway shop on Station Road, Desborough, between 23:00 on 26 August and 11:30 on 27 August 2018. A quantity of cash was stolen.

Local Government Reform in Northamptonshire

The District, Borough, and County Councils have drafted a joint response to the Secretary of State's invitation to "submit proposals on restructuring local government".
